Hi there! Welcome to Sew Dang Thrifty!

My name is Kasia. I'm a frugal twenty-something living in Ann Arbor. My fiance and I are getting married this summer so money is tight! With that in mind, I'm working on getting my crafty genes into overdrive. My main interest is with sewing, but I dabble with other crafts as well. I'm looking forward to using this blog as a way to motivate myself to explore beyond my comfortable crafting and into something that's a bit more exciting.

I love thrift shopping but I have this problem -- I feel like all of the clothes at thrift shops are either intended for women who are 5'2", weigh 90 pounds and have no hips, or for XXL. I am neither of these. With that in mind, I thrift shop for fabrics. Rather than focusing on cuts or sizes that I like, searching for a great fabric is always on my agenda at the thrift store. From there, I get to crafting and we'll see what comes from it!
